Rostima was founded in 1996 by a group of labour scheduling experts, who have spent years perfecting a software solution to address the complex task of matching workload to staff resources. The challenge was to create a more efficient schedule that benefited the company and their staff. To do this, thousands of variables that exist in the workplace - from legal working hour requirements (such as the European Working Time Directive), to collective agreements and preferences of individual employees – had to be accommodated.
A key part of the task was to deliver a best of breed solution that would provide a technological fit with both legacy systems and other HR suppliers' products. Today Rostima has generic interfaces to a number of leading HR and payroll solutions including SAP and Oracle.
It is after almost 40 years of development that our core product "Scheduler" has been extensively tested in companies ranging from a few to thousands of employees, in cultures as different as Taipei and Orlando, and in industries from airlines to retail. The unique Schedule Creation algorithm has been proven in many countries and industry sectors ranging from transport, aviation and health, to hospitality and retail.
