Rostima awarded Workforce Management contract at Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP)

Sydney – 10th January, 2008 - Rostima is pleased to announce the signing of a contract with PTP to deliver its state of the art labour management software solution in Q1, 2008.

Rostima, the world leader in workforce management solutions to the global transport sector has successfully been awarded the contract to implement its leading workforce management solution for the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) in Malaysia. Commenting on being awarded the contract, Stephen Aitken, GM Asia for Rostima stated; “this is wonderful news for Rostima who has developed a solution for the stevedoring industry that enables container port operators to significantly improve operational efficiency through the planning and assignment of labour pools. We are very pleased to be working with one of the largest and most successful port operators in Asia”.

Rostima has been working with Dubai Ports World (DPW) for the past two years on customising a solution that will match labour supply to the number of planned container moves. The software also allows port operators to track their labour through a time and attendance (T&A) module which is integrated to a range of payroll systems including SAP and Oracle. The key strength of the Rostima solution is the use of optimisation algorithms that search for the best possible roster and daily allocation plan. The software meets the labour requirements of all geographies globally as proven in previous successful implementations in every continent.
