TACA Airlines selects Rostima

International airline will roll out Rostima to optimise workforce management processes.

London UK – 24 th May 2005: Rostima Ltd, a global leader in the development and supply of Enterprise Workforce Management solutions, has announced that TACA Airlines has chosen Rostima software to optimise staff deployment and management across its international business.

TACA Airlines flies to 19 countries and 34 international destinations in the Americas and more than 60 destinations within Central America . It carries more than three million passengers a year.

Rostima's DutyPlanner, Scheduler, and DutyManager tools (including a check-in module) will be implemented first at the TACA Airlines headquarters in San Salvador , El Salvador . The software will then be rolled out to all the company's airport operations starting with San Jose in Costa Rica , Guatemala City in Guatemala and Miami in the USA.

The implementation of Rostima software will provide TACA Airlines with improved levels of customer service, improved working hours for staff, and improved staff planning leading to higher staff utilisation. It will also ensure that work is allocated to staff in a way that takes into account individual competencies and preferences, the importance of the work, and travel time between jobs.

Rostima's DutyPlanner module is a forecasting and workload modeling tool that matches staffing to demand. It ensures that the right number of resources are scheduled and that business peaks and troughs in demand are covered. This is a highly graphical module that allows service parameters to be varied to quickly analyse the resourcing implications of new event schedules.

Rostima Scheduler produces optimal schedules which match workload to staff resources while taking into account employee preference and availability.

Rostima's DutyManager module provides costing of scheduled activities, very fast what-if capability to match schedules to new scenarios, tracking of planned and actual employee assignments, and measurement of employee utilisation against budget and strategy.
