Rostima launches web-enabled next generation Enterprise Workforce Management
solution
London UK – 2nd March 2006: Rostima, a global leader in the development
and supply of Enterprise Workforce Management solutions, has launched enterprise
plus, its next generation software portfolio. enterprise
plus is on the Microsoft .Net technology platform and provides both staff and
management with extended functionality and the convenience of web access.
enterprise plus is a comprehensive
solution for workload planning and roster scheduling through to roster and attendance
management and self service. Rostima is accredited by Microsoft as a certified
partner and has produced an n-tier application that encompasses all aspects
of workforce management.
Rostima’s new Working Time Engine has extended schedule optimisation
functionality to meet the increasingly complex demands of working time legislation
and employee constraints. Shift and day preferences, overtime requests, and
training, holiday and sickness leave are automatically factored into the generation
and balancing of staff rosters while ensuring that the best possible utilisation
of staff, in the right place at the right time, is achieved.
“Rostima’s new scheduling and optimisation engines are right at
the forefront of technology in terms of design, functionality and benefits for
our customers,” said Steve Moore, General Manager UK. “Rostima has
a well-established reputation for its excellent strategic rostering capability.
These new modules extend this at an operational level to minimise the time consuming
task of balancing staff requests with business requirements and represent the
culmination of several years’ investment in next generation scheduling
capability.”
To complement this extended scheduling functionality, Rostima has also launched
Self-Service, and Time and Attendance (T&A) modules on the .Net platform.
The Employee Self-Service allows staff to specify their availability to work, to
update personal records, and to bid for leave, training, overtime and shift
swaps from anywhere with access to the internet. The T&A module interfaces
with till, clock or biometric devices and allows managers and supervisors to
track and update schedules via the internet.
Rostima CIO, Stephen Aitken commented: “The enterprise
plus portfolio on the .Net platform is a massive step forward in workforce management
technology. It will also broaden Rostima’s market penetration via foreign
language versions and will enable us to support our customers on-line. We have
incorporated a new n-tier architecture which will allow us to run on a large
number of thin-client peripherals from a central server.”
The first release of Rostima enterprise
plus will be delivered in April 2006 with further releases to follow in the
summer. Existing Rostima customers will be provided with migration tools and
assistance to move across to the new version in the second half of 2006.
