Rostima DutyPlanner FAQs : Answering your common queries.
Full support for Rostima DutyPlanner™ can be found in our Support

How can I utilise DutyPlanner in decision-making?
The information provided in DutyPlanner enables you to quickly see the impact
of changes to events on your workload. The graphical display clearly show peaks
and toughs in workload so that you can determine if a new event will require
additional recruitment and hence a longer lead time or if that event can be
managed with the current resource. DutyPlanner can also be used to see the impact
of moving events or increasing / decreasing the amount of time that events take,
which can be used to help determine pricing and service level agreements.
How can workload be measured?
We have used with various types of workload and different approaches to capturing
this data across many types of organisation in many industries. Workload is
generally either event, volume or queue driven. Some examples of variables we
have used in determining workload are number of vehicle arrivals at a depot,
phone calls received in a call centre, meals produced in a kitchen, passengers
on an aircraft, beds to be cleaned in a hotel, customers buying goods and items
being handled in a freight operation. We can help you to determine what are
the key events and workload drivers within your business and also how to and
handle the impact of event fluctuations on operational planning.
Can any event be put into DutyPlanner?
Yes. DutyPlanner is based on a set of attributes that can be set up to represent
any event. These events can be viewed separately or all together so that you
can see either an individual division’s events or the workload across the organisation.
