Air France advance Rostima, a specialist in the development and
supply of Enterprise Workforce Management solutions, has announced that
Air France Services Limited (AFSL) has chosen Rostima software to optimise
management of its staff.
AFSL is
based at Heathrow airport and currently provides ground handling services
to 12 airline companies, including its parent company Air France. Its
services and operations range from ticket sales, passenger check-in and
baggage handling to loading aircraft and monitoring aircraft weight and
balance.
The agreement is for the implementation of Rostima's
Scheduler, DutyPlanner, and DutyManager tools to manage the varied and
complicated work patterns of AFSL's 350 members of staff and to provide
improved workforce planning and scheduling efficiencies.
"We
evaluated a number of solutions and suppliers and ultimately selected
Rostima," said John Billett, Finance Manager, AFSL. "The Rostima team is
highly professional, the results of the product trial we had were very
good and the pricing was competitive. We believe Rostima will provide us
with improved workforce efficiency and productivity and as a result,
labour savings and cost-savings."
Kim Berknov, Rostima's CEO,
commented: "This agreement further demonstrates Rostima's unique position
within the overall transportation market of the UK and Europe. With
customers such as AFSL, ASIG, Securicor and Luton airport, Rostima
Workforce Management solutions are fast becoming the industry standard for
aviation, ground transportation and associated services companies seeking
to optimise workforce efficiency."
Rostima's DutyPlanner module is
a forecasting and workload modelling tool that matches staffing to
customer demand. It ensures that the right number of resources are
scheduled and that business peaks and troughs in customer demand are
covered. This is a highly graphical module that allows service parameters
to be varied to quickly analyse the resourcing implications of new event
schedules.
Rostima Scheduler produces optimal schedules, which
match workload to staff resources while taking into account employee
preference and availability. Rostima's DutyManager module provides costing
of scheduled activities, very fast what-if capability to match schedules
to new scenarios, tracking of planned and actual employee assignments, and
measurement of employee utilisation against budget and
strategy.
